This beautiful golden-sand beach lies near Los Cristianos in the south of Tenerife (it has been awarded the Blue Flag for several years). It is one of the busiest beaches on the island, with countless facilities for visitors: sun lounger and parasol hire, showers, toilets, disabled access and a Red Cross post.
At almost a kilometre long, it is one of the largest beaches in Tenerife, and you can enjoy both water sports and more traditional ones (there are volleyball nets and bike hire on site).
The seafront features an ocean-view promenade lined with shops, bars, restaurants, kiosks and all kinds of bazaars for holiday shopping. We recommend an evening stroll to enjoy the fully lit seafront, perhaps with a romantic dinner at one of the waterfront restaurants or a night out with friends in the area’s many disco bars.
Breakwaters reduce the force of the waves, making the beach safe and accessible for the whole family, and with lifeguards on duty you can swim in complete safety.
Nearby stands a magnificent fountain, a handy landmark for finding the beach. There is a large pay car park at the nearby port of Los Cristianos; alternatively, you can leave your car in the streets around the beach, which can also be reached by public transport.
There is plenty of accommodation in the area: hotels, aparthotels and apartments to rent.
