Playa de Troya

Straw parasols on Playa de Troya seen from the promenade through palms and shrubs

This beach is in Las Américas, in the south of Tenerife. It is divided into two connected sections, Troya 1 and Troya 2, and lies in one of the best-known parts of Costa Adeje, considered the island’s entertainment hub.

It has all the main facilities: parasols, sun loungers, showers, a Red Cross post and lifeguards. The sand is very fine and light brown. The water is calm thanks to barriers built to break the force of the waves, which makes the beach suitable for everyone: older visitors, families and children.

Along the seafront you’ll find plenty of businesses: bars, restaurants, kiosks, disco bars and bazaars. Several venues look straight out over the sea, with tables and sofas where you can sip your favourite cocktail while admiring the beautiful coastal views.

Thanks to its prime location, the beach is busy all year round, and the area has countless hotels and other places to stay, able to satisfy even the most demanding holidaymakers. To find your way around, see this list of complexes and hotels in Playa de las Américas.

Playa de Troya is without doubt one of the most beautiful and distinctive beaches along this whole stretch of coast.
