Granadilla Wind Farm

A row of white wind turbines on rocky ground at the Granadilla Wind Farm

The Granadilla wind farm (Parque eólico Granadilla) is a facility designed with wind turbines to generate electricity, supplying power to around 3,000 homes in the area.

It is located in the Granadilla industrial estate; the nearest town is a few kilometres away, in line with the minimum distance required by law for wind turbine installations.

The plant harnesses energy from the wind and powers an eco-sustainable project that respects nature.

The wind farm is worth a visit to see the characteristic windmills of the Canary Islands at work.
