Monkey Park

Ring-tailed lemurs sitting in a row on a log beneath yellow flowers at Monkey Park

Monkey Park, open to the public since 1991, is in the south of Tenerife, a few kilometres from Los Cristianos and Playa de las Américas. It is an animal theme park where visitors can interact with the animals and enjoy a fantastic experience.

The park suits the whole family, young and old. What makes it special is its focus on the world of monkeys, with several species living here. Visitors can enter dedicated areas to feed them and appreciate their intelligence and liveliness.

As you can interact with the animals, which roam semi-free in certain areas, it’s a good idea to bring some fruit and buy the special food bags at the entrance, so you can give them a tasty treat and admire them up close.

Photography lovers can snap away to their heart’s content, capturing the charming residents of this beautiful park.

Besides the many species of monkey, the park is home to lemurs, chimpanzees, snakes (in their own snake house), parrots and many exotic birds. There is also a small lake with turtles and crocodiles.

You can also admire the beautiful cacti that frame this charming park.
