Playa de la Arena – Mesa del Mar

Bathers on the black sand of Playa de la Arena, Mesa del Mar, beneath the cliff

The pretty Playa de la Arena lies in the small village of Mesa del Mar (municipality of Tacoronte, Tenerife, Spain).

The beach is reached through a small tunnel. It has facilities for bathers, a calm sea sheltered from currents and several natural ocean pools.

A pleasant coastal walk links Mesa del Mar with the nearby fishing village of El Pris and its beach of the same name.

Along the coast you can enjoy good fish at several traditional Canarian restaurants.
